Comedy Writing Award - Shortlist announced

We are very pleased to announce our shortlist for The Funny Women Comedy Writing Award 2012, in conjunction with The Comedy Unit.

The competition has been incredibly fierce this year, and we have been truly amazed at the sheer level of writing talent out there. We have selected seven scripts to put in front of our JUDGING PANEL this Wednesday 19th September - it will be their job to whittle seven down to three finalists who will all be invited to attend the charity final next Monday 24th September where the winner will be announced.

The scripts on the shortlist are:

'Old Maids' by Leanne Davis

'Profit and Loss' by Vanessa Strowger and Katherine Bennett

'One Year' by Katie Tracey

'The Slush Pile' by Sarah Courtauld

'Three’s a Crowd, Four’s a Bun Fight' by Jane Perrin

'The Real Thing' by Alice Truman
