With the weekend in sight and London's Leicester Square already hopping, Thursday has been a much better time for our Funny Women London Nights! November's gig is fast approaching, and we're tremendously pleased to be bringing you another top-notch lineup for that fateful day:
Host Luisa Omielan "5 Stars" -Three Weeks
Luisa has funny bones! Having gigged in London and performed the last few years at both Brighton and Edinburgh Fringe Festivals, Luisa recently ventured to Chicago and trained in the Improv capital at Second City and Improv Olympic, she gigged all over Illinois and is now back in London, playing an Improv residency on the Southbank and gigging all over London.
Headliner Ellie Taylor "sharp, sassy and extremely funny" -2Entertain
Star of ITV’s ‘Show Me The Funny’ ‘Fantastic’ Kate Copstick, ‘Charismatic, personable and bright’ Chortle. Ellie won the hearts and humour of the nation when she came oh so close to the final show at The Apollo. She is clever, relatable and very funny!
Anthea Neagle "... Real charm, hugely endearing and very very funny!" -Joking Aside
Anthea Neagle is a big toothed, small footed, medium sized comic - a 5'1 package of gigglesome fun.
FINALIST of Cavendish's Max Turner New Act Award 2010, SEMI-FINALIST of the Laughing Horse New Act of the Year 2010 SEMI-FINALIST of So You Think You're Funny 2010 but perhaps her biggest success to date is winning a can of PEA AND HAM soup in the SCHOOL RAFFLE 1989.
Julia Streets “Appeals to anyone who’s ever shared a printer” -Dominic King, BBC Radio Kent
Julia is an experienced stand-up comedienne & compere specialising in writing and performing her own material drawn from more than 20 years earning her pinstripes in corporate life. Julia has been featured on Radio 4 Today Programme, BBC Radio Kent and in many City and corporate publications. Julia is a Trustee of the charity, Children in Crisis.
Hannah Warman Exuberant with genuine comedy nuggets.**** (4 stars)” -Three Weeks
Hannah performs stand-up all across the UK, including performed for the full run of Edinburgh fringe festival in 2009 and 2010, and a week's run at Brighton fringe 2010. Awards include being chosen for the BBC New Comedy Award 2011 and Finalist in Up the Creek 2011.
Suzy Bennett Vibrant, gorgeous and extremely funny.” -BBC
Originally from Devon, Ex-Butlins-Redcoat Suzy is a dynamo of a comic, with a uniquely warm and chatty stage presence. She has been delighting audiences with her saucy comedy since "accidentally" reaching the finals of Jimmy Carr's Comedy Idol on her first gig, and being asked by Jimmy to support him on his "Gag Reflex" tour and then went on to win the Funny Women Awards 2006.
Bekka Bowling
Fresh from wowing judges and coming runner-up in this year's Funny Women Awards, Bekka is a professional actress and comedian - quick witted, sharp and clever, she's one to watch out for.
Hannah Deasy
Putting it about on the London comedy circuit since February 2010, this belliegernt Essex girl is sarcastic and unehtused about pretty much everything. Expect outrageously cheeky observations and aggressive punch lines.
