Finalist Profile: Mel Moon
Growing up with a bi-polar mum, grandma, auntie and a schizophrenic aunt and brother I learned pretty soon for my own sanity that I needed an outlet. That outlet was comedy. In this world I can be as crazy as my family and yet as normal as my peers.
I've been performing since I can remember but a comic since 2007. During that time I've taken several breaks for lupus, a tumour and a baby!! But I kept going and it's paying off.
Making the final signals to me that it was all worth it. Juggling parenthood and gigging is the biggest challenge I'll ever face but both are so rewarding! Funny Women over the years saw me pull out several times due to life getting too much but their support didn't waiver and here I am. FINALLY!
My act is about how I react to my families mental state and also my innovative way to have my brother accepted in society. I also discuss my children and my toy boy partner Kris! Oh yes he's young and gorgeous!!!! CASHBACK!
