Funny Women Awards spectacular final!

The Funny Women team have been up and down the UK and Ireland in our annual search for new female comedic talent, and boy did we find plenty this year! Hundreds of entries have been whittled down to 14 fantastic finalists who will now compete to win the main Benefit Funny Women Award, the Blue Nun Variety Award and The Comedy Unit Comedy Writing Award.

All proceeds from the night will be donated to Women’s Aid, the national domestic violence which helps up to 250,000 women and children every year, and supports over 500 domestic and sexual violence services across the country.

Hosted by the "Vibrant, gorgeous and extremely funny" (BBC) Suzy Bennett (Funny Women Awards Winner 2006) and Charlie Webster (Sky Sports presenter and Funny Women Charity Challenger) in her capacity as an ambassador for Women's Aid. The night will also be headlined by last year's Awards winner lara A king, fresh from her four starred solo show 'People Pleaser' at the Edinburgh Fringe.
