13th June 2013
Hot on the heels of the Funny Women Charity Challenge, which celebrated our10th Anniversary in March 2012, – we’ve taken up the gauntlet thrown down by some of our lovely supportive men friends to stage another event, this time with them in the limelight!
So, Funny Women is challenging 12 high profile men from all walks of life to perform stand-up for the very first time and raise vital funds for a range of charities. All the plucky participants are currently being mentored by some of our brilliant Funny Women - including winners and finalists of the Funny Women Awards! You can read more about them all HERE.
The final showdown to see who will be crowned Funny Women’s ‘King of Comedy’ will take place in the sumptuous surroundings of Goldsmiths Hall in the City of London on Thursday 13th June. Not only will you be right royally entertained by our brilliant men, there's a drinks reception and canapes on offer to fuel the mirth filled evening. Plus an exclusive goody bag!
The show will be jointly hosted by Telegraph and Daily Mail columnist Rowan Pelling, former editor of the Erotic Review and winner of last year's women's Challenge, and business woman, author and comedian Julia Streets.
