Join the Funny Women Players, our fast paced, all women improv team on a new journey! Find out the funny way how you can improvise your way to enlightenment... or not as the case may be!
We are all seeking the holy grail of success in our personal and our professional lives. Self-improvement and enlightenment are the buzzwords of the 21st Century.
The Funny Women Players will take you on a journey full of hilarity and surprises. Based on suggestions from the audience about relationships, love, work, ambition, hobbies, and more the Players will turn your stories into theatre, right before your very eyes.
Who knows how many of you can find the path to enlightenment? It’s amazing what can be achieved with a bit of improvisation!
This event is in support of international women's rights charity, Womankind Worldwide, celebrating their 25th Anniversary and the 18 million women they have helped.

Find out how a humorous approach to life can be empowering with this introduction to the techniques of stand up. Even if you don’t fancy yourself as a performer the ‘take away’ is self confidence and enhanced communications skills.
We have helped hundreds of women nationwide to take to the stage in the annual Funny Women Awards, so if you are considering taking the plunge into performing and writing comedy, or need a few tips on how to present and communicate with humour, come and find out how to get started at our very special Festival Workshop.
There will be an opportunity for some of our workshop participants to perform an ‘open spot’ in our evening show.

Not everybody is a self-starter so,as part of this year's Women in Comedy Festival, Manchester, we are presenting a spectacular line-up of fabulous female comics who began their comedy careers with us at one of our ‘Stand Up to Stand Out’ workshops. This will show you how hugely diverse and brilliant women are at comedy.
Hosted by the brilliant Dotty Winters and featuring Sindhu V, both workshop ‘graduates’ who made it into the final of the prestigious Funny Women Awards in 2013.
Headlined by the West Country’s finest, Cerys Nelmes, workshop ‘graduate’ and Funny Women Awards finalist 2012.
Plus there will be an opportunity to see some of the workshop participants from the afternoon take to the stage for the very first time!

Brighton! Head down to the Komedia for your chance to see this year's Funny Women Awards winner Jayde Adams who is headlining this month's Funny Women Brighton Nights!
The multi-talented writer, psychotherapist and comic Shelley Bridgman will be hosting the night and it's going to be a good one! Octogenarian Lynn Ruth Miller is down to show us that ageing is amazing! Gemma Layton will hopefully done shopping in Lidl in time to make the show to join Naomi Hefter. Funny Women Awards semi-finalist Lady Charles dives in the comedy pool with fellow semi-finalist Geraldine Coyne.
